Cancellation Policy

How to get my boarding pass?

Just show it on your phone.

How to change pick-up location?

You can change it at any time. Sometimes we might change a route in which case we will ask you to re-enter your pick-up location choice:

My account | Order History | change pick-up location
My account | Order History | e boarding pass

Can I buy lift ticket only?

No. NAC SKI is not a ticket re-seller therefore we do not sell lift ticket without the bus fare. If you forgot to order a lift ticket or other product, you can place a second order, at the checkout ignore the warning message as long as your prior order has the bus ticket(s).

Are we on the same bus?

My friends and I booked the same trip with the same Trip ID but we will board at different locations. Are we on the same bus?

YES. If you two have the same Trip ID, you are on the same physical bus. Let's take a look at the naming convention of a Trip ID. Example:

CA-NSTR-R-040514-N1

CA - State code for California
NSTR - Resort code for Northstar
R - Regular public trip
040514 - April 5th, 2014 is the trip date
N1 - #1 bus for this resort on this day

If we send 2 buses to the same resort on the same day, they will have different Trip IDs:

CA-NSTR-R-040514-N1
CA-NSTR-R-040514-N2

when do I get my ski ticket, rental equipment?

Short Answer: At the resort

Long Answer: When the bus arrives at the resort, the tour lead will get the tickets and rental vouchers and hand them out to the passengers by name.

Child on board

Children under 3 are not allowed to board the bus for safety reason. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by adult. Passengers age 13-17 traveling alone require signed parental consent form. All ski resort requires parent/guardian to sign for a minor when renting equipment. Therefore parent/guardian must accompany their children if they need rental equipments.

Detailed instructions can be found at the end of the document:
Parental Consent Form.

I'd return on another day

Yes, this option is available by booking one way bus fare to the resort one day and return on another day. The one way bus fare will be available on a trip once a trip has met the minimum passenger requirement. There is some rules that apply. 1. The trips that you book one way bus fare must be confirmed since unconfirmed buses are subject to cancellation. The terms and conditions state for bus cancellations, that in such event, NAC SKI will issue full refund to all the paid passengers within 6 hours of such decision. I/WE will not hold NAC SKI responsible for any cost incurred due to the travel plan change caused by the trip cancellation beyond the refund of my original trip booking.

Is there a waiting list?

When a trip is fully booked, it shows open seats as zero. People may still book the trip, but they will be put on the waiting list and the open seat count will show negative numbers.

If you eventually don't get in, you get a FULL REFUND. Gift Certificate should not be used to put you on a waiting list since they will not get replaced if you don't get in.

California bus fare $64 vs $49

The idea is once a trip reaches the minimal booking level it is unlikely the trip gets canceled (except for weather reason). A "CONFIRMED" trip costs more. One way tickets are only available on CONFIRMED trips. In California:

CONFIRMED trip bus fare: $64
Early Booking bus rare: $49

When will we raise bus fare on a particular trip?

There is no fixed time. Whenever we receive enough bookings on it.

Sorry, I didn't get the email

Most notices from NAC SKI (weather, pickup location / time changes, etc.) will be communicated to you via email, therefore it is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to maintain an active email address with sufficient capacity, and free from any blocking and filtering and always check your email several times before any trip. Avoid using hotmail or msn, we have observed multiple cases where customers complained not receiving order confirmation emails.

Can my friend take my place?

Yes, You can change the passenger name any time prior to the trip:

Log in | My Account | Order History | change passenger name

Gold Member is not allowed to have others take your place.

I booked for me and my friend, does he need a boarding pass?

No. When you purchase multiple trip packages, it is indicated on our trip roster and on your boarding pass. So, your friend(s) do not need a boarding pass or driver's license as long as you have your photo ID and your boarding pass that shows the number of tickets you bought. To minimize confusion, we strongly suggest that all members in your party board the bus together at the same pickup location.

Refund Policy

If NAC SKI cancels a trip, we will issue FULL REFUND within 6 hours..

During the trip

Lost & Found

Within 2 business days after the trip, the tour lead files the trip report. If any personal items was found, it will be indicated on the trip report. Then we will send a lost & found notice email to all passengers on the bus. If the item bellows to you, you should claim it online by giving detailed descriptions:

Log in | My account | Order History | lost & found

Once we establish that you are the rightful owner, we will put you in touch with the tour lead for you to pick up your item. We don't ship. If you don't see our email notification regarding lost & found after 2 business days. It means our tour lead did not recover anything. In this case, you should contact the charter bus company to see if their driver or cleaning crew have recovered it. Just give them the trip date and ski resort name. You can find the charter bus company's name on your boarding pass and google it to find their contact information.

Do we get food?

Yes you do. We provide light breakfast on board free of charge which includes Granola bars, a small bottle of smoothie and a bottled water.

Child on board

Children under 3 are not allowed to board the bus under any circumstances. Children under 12 must be accompanied by someone over 15 years of age. Ski resort requires parent/guardian to sign for a minor when renting gears, therefore parent/guardian must accompany their children if they need rentals. Passengers regardless of age must have a seat by law. Bus fare for children and adults are the same.

Can I park there?

Most pickup locations either have parking space available or have easy public transit access. In the case of SF Bay Area, Boston, New York, we have used the pickup locations for years without customer complains. However, NAC SKI DOES NOT assume any responsibility for vehicles being ticketed, towed, stolen or otherwise damaged.

What is a Tour Lead

A Tour Lead (or TL) is a volunteer who helps to coordinate your trip, distribute tickets and attend to the passenger's needs. This is a part-time volunteer job where the compensation is free skiing and lunch, to learn more about becoming a NAC SKI tour leader, click on jobs on the web site.

I missed the bus in the AM!

You may try to get to the next pickup location before the bus departs. You can find the GPS numbers (latitude and longitude) for other pickup locations on your Boarding Pass.

There is no refund for no show.

I missed the bus in the PM!

The bus leaves the resort at the designated time, which is indicated on your boarding pass. We ask all the passengers to come back to the bus by the "Boarding time". If you miss the bus, there is no refund and you will be responsible for ALL THE COSTS associated with it, such as lodging, food and transportation etc.

One-way trips?

You can take a one-way trip. This either involves a bus ride only, or a full package. If you are planning to meet friends or family and stay and therefore not return home on the bus, please notify the bus's tour leader so that they can adjust the headcount for the ride home accordingly.

No, please bring any food, snacks, and drinks that you will want for breakfast and dinner. Please also be respectful of the bus and fellow passengers and bring a small bag for your trash.

Is there a restroom on the bus?

Yes, there is a restroom on the bus. When using the restroom, and when through, please leave the toilet seat in the down position to help contain any odor. Similarly, try your best to not the use of the onboard restroom if possible to minimize odor buildup and using the restroom at the resort before returning to the bus is a very good idea.

Is the bus locked during the day?

Yes, the bus is locked while you are at the ski resort during the day. However, NAC SKI assumes no responsibility for any items lost or stolen on the bus. You will not have access to the bus during the day so take anything you will need with you. All resorts have lockers for day rental.

When do we get back?

Approximate drop-off times are provided on the booking page for your trip. Actual times can vary due to weather and/or traffic.

Can I bring alcohol on the bus?

No, bringing and drinking alcoholic beverages of any kind on the bus is forbidden. Brett Studebaker Law went into effect in January 2013 in California, but NAC SKI forbids alcohol on any bus anywhere in the USA or Canada.

Bus Behavior

To maximize everyone's comfort and enjoyment, we request that you exhibit good behavior while on the bus and be considerate and respectful of your fellow passengers. In addition, foul language, rude behavior, and the like are disrespectful to your fellow passengers and will not be tolerated. In extreme cases of bad behavior, you may be removed from the bus and must then find your own transportation home.
